I spent a while on Sunday hiding down by the river to try get some good shots of the geese that are currently gathered the in great numbers there.

Leap of Faith

I went for a walk to the Bird Sanctuary this morning. There were several squirrels leaping between the trees. I managed to get a few shots of this squirrel making a particularly long jump between branches which I then combined in Photoshop.

Island of Lights

There is an article in one of my photography magazine about 'painting with lights' so I thought I would give it a try. I just put my camera on the floor facing up, set it to bulb mode,  and drew pictures with various lights while the shutter is open. It took a lot of practice, but I started to get the hang of it.

Calgary Traffic

This is another shot from my night drive. I have been wanting to try a long exposure shot to capture the lights of cars as they go past for a while. I found this nice spot with the cityscape in the background. I managed to time this shot just as the C-Train came past to add extra colour to some of the lights.
