Campfire Log

I have always been fascinated by the shapes and movements of flames. So the last time I had a camp fire, I tried to capture a few images. Here is one of them.

Warhol Daisies

I have been reading more of my Photoshop Magazines recently. So I thought I would give one of the effects a go. I took this photo of a Daisy at the bird sanctuary at the weekend.

Orange Curves

While driving to the mall at the weekend, I passed this car show that was happening. They had all these really cool old cars on display. I couldn't resist stopping to check a few out and take a few photos... here is one of them. Unfortunately, I have no idea what type of car this is. It looks cool though.

Thistle Butterfly

I went for another walk around the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary today. However, there were more butterflies than there were birds. Here is one of them.

Bottled Ship

Here is another photo from my last visit to England. I went passed it on a bus tour in London. Not sure why there was a ship inside a giant bottle, but there was.

Dragons on the Fly

There were hundreds of these little guys flying around BC last weekend. But not many of them stayed still long enough for me to get a decent shot. Here is one that did though.

Thursday 21 July 2011

Lake Grass

This photo was taken at Columbia Lake, BC. Its a simple shot, but I think it looks kind of neat.

Pre-Dinner Stretch

I still can't believe that pelicans can stretch their mouths like this! This is another shot from Kangaroo Island, Australia.

The Barnhouse

I took this shot of this awesome barn while cycling through Airdrie last month.

Monday 18 July 2011

Canadian Paradise

This shot I took on the drive out to BC last week. It was taken about an hour before sunset. I drove out between a pass that was cut into the mountain and this was the view!

Coys Driving Range

Some of you may have noticed that I haven't posted anything new since Thursday...This is because I was learning to golf in BC. Here is a shot I took from the driving range at Coys Golf Course.

Windsor Sunset

I don't remember there being many nice sunsets in England, But this is one I shot in Windsor on my last visit.

Wednesday 13 July 2011

Porny Cottage

Due to my level of maturity, I couldn't resist taking a photo of this address sign from Windsor (England). What makes it so much more amusing is that Porny Cottage is actually a small school for girls!

Old Grand Piano

I took this close up shot of an old piano in one of the museums that I visited on my last trip home to England.

Sunday 10 July 2011

Landing Seaplane

This was taken the in Vancouver, the first time that I ever saw a seaplane in real life. I had only seen them in movies before.

Saturday 9 July 2011

Love of The Beach

I have been experimenting with some of the effects that Photoshop has to offer. This is a heart made out of dried sand that I made on a beach in Australia. I added a radial blur effect to it which I thought looked really cool and helps to focus your attention on the heart.

Pelican In Flight

Another shot from my time on Kangaroo Island, Australia. This is the only shot I managed to get of a pelican in flight.

Wednesday 6 July 2011

Stormy Ben

It occurred to me that I have yet to post a shot from England...So I searched through my archives and found a few shots. This one is from my last visit home.

Monday 4 July 2011

Driving Country Roads

This is another shot from my drive around Airdrie at the weekend. This one spent a lot of time in Photoshop to try make my car look clean.

Sunday 3 July 2011

No Shooting

I went for a drive yesterday along some of the gravel roads around Airdrie to look for some nice shots. I happened across this little scene.

Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty...

I have been cat sitting for some friends this weekend. So I took the opportunity to take a few shots of them. As bitchy as cats are...they sure are cute.
